Stuart Vaughn

Stuart grew up in Poquoson, Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay right down the street from historic Yorktown, Williamsburg, and Norfolk. He made Charlotte his new home after serving in the US Army for five years and enjoys having a meaningful presence in his clients’ lives. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a minor in Civil Engineering. Upon graduating from West Point with top marks, Stuart received a commission as an active duty infantry officer. He completed Airborne School, becoming a certified combat parachutist and completed the elite US Army Ranger School. Stuart served in the 75th Ranger Regiment, an elite special operations unit, and completed two combat deployments to Afghanistan, one in Kabul and one in Kandahar Province where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for outstanding leadership in combat.

When Stuart isn’t dedicatedly attending to his clients’ financial matters, he enjoys sky-diving, SCUBA diving, salt-water fishing, backpacking, and fitness. Stuart has 26 parachute jumps, including a historic jump in 2014 into Normandy, France for the 70th Anniversary of D-Day.

Stuart is an Eagle Scout and active supporter of the Boy Scouts in Charlotte. He is the president of the Young Adult Ministry at his church, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and he is an active supporter and volunteer with Charlotte Bridge Homes, a nationally acclaimed veteran support group.
